BLSKS presents "Nasha Mukat Bharat" Program for physically challenged children at JRC Home

JAMMU, May 19: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, Social Welfare Department J&K Government, and Sangam Tru Art Production, organized a three-day special campaign and presented the 360th Friday Series Dogri Musical Play "NASHE CHA BACHO" at Jammu Red Cross Home for Handicapped in Udheywala. The program, directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra, aimed to raise awareness about the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan and promote traditional folk art and culture of the J&K region.
The event began with a welcome address by Vandana Sharma, Incharge Primary Wing, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Umesh Sharma, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Samba, and other esteemed guests. Over 200 students and teachers took a pledge recited by M.C. Kotwal, and certificates from the Ministry of Social Justice were presented to the Secretary of JRC Home.
The program featured various performances, including songs, skits, and dances, with themes highlighting the harmful effects of drug addiction and the importance of cleanliness. Chief guest Satish Sharma emphasized the risks of addiction and the need for preventive measures.
He mentioned the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan launched by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, which aims to reduce drug usage in vulnerable districts across the country.
The artists of BLSKS delivered powerful performances, showcasing the cultural heritage of J&K.
The event was recorded and shared on social media platforms for wider reach and impact. Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, discussed the use of illegal drugs and the withdrawal symptoms associated with addiction. K.K. Joshi, Vice Chairman of BLSKS, highlighted the organization's efforts in raising awareness and assisting in the rehabilitation of substance abuse victims.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Deepak Kumar Dogra, the Program Incharge.
