Early Times Report RAMBAN, May 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), under the supervision of Director Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, inaugurated a 5-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Banihal. The program is part of the Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) initiative organized by the district administration of Ramban. SANKALP, launched by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, aims to enhance institutional mechanisms for skill development and provide quality and market-relevant training to youth across the country. It focuses on strengthening institutions at the national, state, and district levels, ensuring quality assurance in skill development programs, and promoting inclusion of marginalized populations. Director Ajaz Ahmad Bhat emphasized the importance of understanding the latest business trends and concepts, such as marketing, branding, innovation, and technology, for aspiring entrepreneurs. The 5-day EDP will cover various topics including business plan formulation, marketing strategies, accounts management, and more, to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully run their businesses. The training program is part of the broader "Push Ramban" initiative, supported by SANKALP, to promote livelihoods, entrepreneurship, and the local economy in the district. Through collaboration with different departments, the district administration has identified and mobilized youth for short-term training programs. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of Dr. Sushant Mahajan, Assistant Director of the Department of Employment, Superintendent of ITI Banihal, Mudasir Shamas, and District Nodal Officer of JKEDI, Sheikh Ashraf, along with other officers. |
