DC reviews progress of "Jal Jeevan Mission" in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, May 20: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya chaired a meeting of line department officers to assess the effective implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme in the district.
During the meeting, discussions were held on forest clearance for proposed projects and other issues that may arise during the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
SE Jal Shakti, R K Mahajan provided an update on the progress of the 159 schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission and highlighted the role of different line departments in ensuring its successful implementation in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of enthusiasm and dedication among officers of the PHE department for the successful execution of the schemes.
The concerned officers were instructed to expedite the work to ensure timely completion of all projects, thereby delivering the intended benefits to the general public. They were also directed to visit rural and remote areas to monitor the progress of works under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for coordination among all line departments to achieve the best results at all levels.
