Teenager found hanging at residence

JAMMU, May 20: A teenager allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence a days before his class 12th result in Janipura area here.
Police on Saturday said that a class 12th student allegedly committed suicide on Friday evening days before his result to be declared by the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education.
Shravan Gupta, 18 of Janipura was found hanging in his house under suspicious circumstances.
Police, according to family members, stated that Shravan was feeling unwell and started complaining of vomiting and diarrhoea.
He was rushed to the hospital and after treatment returned home and he went to his room.
When the family members went to his room to enquire about his health, he was found hanging, police stated.
According to family members, Shravan was mentally stable and was not under any stress, they stated.
Police however, shifted the body to the mortuary for post-mortem and later handed it over to the family for last rites after completing legal formalities.
