Manik Batra, Bhupesh Gupta re-appointed as office bearers of ASSOCHAM

JAMMU, May 20: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industries of India (ASSOCHAM), one of the oldest industry bodies in the country, has re-appointed Manik Batra, Director of Batra Group of Companies, as the Chairman, and Bhupesh Gupta, Managing Partner of Radisson Blu Jammu, as the Co-Chairman of ASSOCHAM J&K UT Development Council.
Tashi Gyaltson, Proprietor of Khachu Enterprises, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Ladakh UT Development Council of ASSOCHAM.
With a 103-year journey, ASSOCHAM has entered a new phase under the leadership of Ajay Singh, Chairman & Managing Director of SpiceJet Limited, who has taken over as the President of ASSOCHAM. Singh has initiated the process of reconstituting the Regional Development Councils and State Chapter Councils of ASSOCHAM.
"I am grateful to the central leadership for entrusting me with the responsibility to lead ASSOCHAM J&K. We are committed to working with all stakeholders for the development of businesses across J&K," said Manik Batra, Chairman of ASSOCHAM J&K Council.
Aligned with the vision of creating a New India, ASSOCHAM serves as a bridge between the industry and the government. The Chamber is a dynamic and forward-looking institution, leading various initiatives to enhance the global competitiveness of the Indian industry while strengthening the domestic ecosystem.
"We continue to collaborate with the government and industry to discuss and materialize views on important issues and organize various initiatives that have significantly contributed to the growth of industry sectors and shaped the policies of J&K as well as the central government," said Bhupesh Gupta, Co-Chairman of ASSOCHAM J&K Council.
With over 100 national and regional sector councils, ASSOCHAM is a strong representative of the Indian industry. These councils are led by renowned industry leaders, academicians, economists, and independent professionals. The Chamber focuses on aligning the critical needs and interests of the industry with the growth aspirations of the nation.
"ASSOCHAM is a fantastic platform for the growth and development of related industries in UT-Ladakh. My heartfelt congratulations to the new President, Ajay Singh, and my gratitude for entrusting me with the responsibility as Chairman.
