| Charges framed against 2 employees in graft case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 16- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu BL Bhat today framed corruption charges against Bishan Dass Naib Court and Kuber Singh Judicial Clerk, posted at the relevant time in the Court of Naib Tehsildar Jammu, were caught red-handed by the VOJ and recovered Rs 2000 as illegal gratification from their possession.
Court while framing charges observed that accused Bishan Dass in collusion with accused Kuber Singh and by abuse of official position caused pecuniary benefit for both the accused by demanding and accepting illegal gratification from the complainant as such committed offence punishable u/s 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2) PC Act 2006 section 161 and 120-B RPC and fixed the date for trial.
According to the case in September 2005 while the accused posted as Naib Court and Judicial Clerk in the Court of Naib Tehsildar Jammu hatched a criminal conspiracy and in furtherance of conspiracy accused Naib Court Bishan Dass demanded Rs 2000 as illegal gratification from complainant Bua Ditta on the pretext of closing the case against him which was sub-judice before the Court of Naib-Tehsildar Jammu. On September 23, 2005 the accused Bishan Dass demanded and accepted Rs 2000 as illegal gratification from the complainant which was accepted by accused Kuber Singh on the direction of accused Naib Court which was recovered by the VOJ in a trap JNF
