| Khajuria asks Omar not to speak on external dimensions | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 16- BJP State President Ashok Khajuria in a statement has asked the state chief minister Omar Abdullah to remain within his limits and stop giving suggestions over Indo-Pak relations and inviting third party intervention which, he said, is against the spirit of Shilma Agreement. ‘He should realize that he is not foreign minister dealing with foreign affairs’, Khajuria added. Instead of raising the issues which are outside his domain the chief minister should give priority to the problems in the state and try to control all militant-related activities being incharge of Unified Command and regretted that he (Omar) did not uttered a single word in the meeting of Unified Command about the armed forces, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation which fighting the militants.. ‘We feel the recent statement of Defence Minister A.R. Antulay was an irresponsible statement about 26/11 Mumbai blast and likewise ATS made unwanted and undesired statement about the train blast which was most condemnable. In a similar manner Omar Abdullah should deal with the internal problems of the state instead of expressing opinion about the foreign relationship with Pakistan and other countries. ‘It is policy matter and many a times such irresponsible statements work as a weapon in the hands of foreign countries to counter the claims of Indian government and are against the National interests’, he added. While Zero tolerance of human rights violation is a welcome step, Khajuria said that in our state human rights are normally taken as rights of militants and militant families and not the victims of militancy. He said since J&K State has already suffered a lot, the first and prime job of the state government should be to deal militancy with iron hands instead of beating about the bushes.
