Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, May 25: Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department, chaired a meeting to review Cluster Development Project Procurements in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting discussed various aspects of project procurements for the districts of Kupwara and Kishtwar, including pre-production, production, post-harvest management, value addition, logistics, marketing, and branding.
Dulloo emphasized the need to identify gaps and implement appropriate interventions for the effective implementation of the Cluster Development Project. He highlighted the importance of addressing the specific requirements of small and marginal farmers and called for a coordinated plan to fulfill the gaps.
Dulloo also proposed the formation of a committee for each cluster, led by the MD of HPMC, to assess cluster gaps, define interventions, and clearly outline outcomes and outputs. The meeting was attended by various officials, including the Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department, Directors of Sheep Husbandry and Horticulture, MD of JKHPMC, and representatives from other relevant departments and organizations.
In a separate meeting, Atal Dulloo reviewed the progress of integrating Kisan Sathi and Daksh Kisan with the Digital Sewa Portal of CSC-SPV. The integration aims to extend agriculture services through the CSC network of J&K, benefiting a large number of farmers. CSC-SPV proposed to establish CSCs in all agriculture field offices to provide services to farmers directly.
