Drug Peddler apprehended with Charas in Pouni, Reasi

REASI, May 25: In a successful operation, a police party from Police Station Pouni apprehended a pedestrian identified as Ajit Kumar, son of Tej Ram, resident of Draman, Beaulian Tehsil Pouni, District Reasi. During a search, the police recovered approximately 30 grams of Charas from his possession. A case FIR No. 37/2023 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pouni in connection with the incident.
The arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of the Reasi police to combat the drug menace in the district. Drug peddlers pose a serious threat to the well-being of society, particularly the younger generation, and their activities aim to destroy lives and disrupt the fabric of the community.
The Reasi police urge the general public to cooperate and support their crusade against the drug menace by providing information and assistance whenever possible. Together, we can create a safer and drug-free environment for everyone in the district.
