| Education Minister approves regularization of 308 ReTs | | 308 ReTs put on regular rolls | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 16: In yet another New Year bonanza from the education department, over 300 teachers engaged under Rehbr-e-Taleem scheme have been approved for their regularization as regular teachers. Just three days back the Government had approved creation of 3481 posts for 94 Higher Secondary schools and 137 High schools, upgraded during 2005-06 and 2006-07 in the state. Also 200 posts of lecturers for fifth subject in the Higher Secondary are also being filled up. An official spokesman said that the Minister for School Education & Public Enterprises, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today approved the regularization of 308 Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers of various districts. Giving approval to the proposal submitted to him to this effect, he s aid that all the Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers after completing 5 years of continuous service would be regularized. Their cases are being examined and processed, he added. The Minister directed the concerned ZEOs, CEOs and Directors of School Education, Kashmir and Jammu to speed up the process of putting up the cases of all those Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers who have completed five years of continued service and are fit for regularization. Peerzada said that steps were afoot to streamline the functioning of education department and creating required infra structure in all the educational institutions to improve the standard of imparting education. He said over 3000 gazetted and non-gazetted posts of teachers have been created to provide adequate staff to the upgraded high and higher secondary schools.
