Reasi, May 26: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi, organized a training program on Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) as part of a 15-day certificate course. The program, held at the KVK, Reasi campus, was attended by fertilizer dealers from Udhampur and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Under the guidance of Director Extension, Prof. SK Gupta of SKUAST-J, various technical sessions were conducted. Dr. Banarsi Lal, Senior Scientist & Head of KVK, Reasi, provided guidance on the balanced use of fertilizers and manures, emphasizing the significance of biofertilizers. Dr. Ajay Gupta, Senior Scientist & Head of KVK, Poonch, virtually guided the trainees on different types of fertilizers, their composition, and importance. Dr. Arvinder Kumar discussed integrated nutrient management in various crops, highlighting the importance of balanced fertilizer use for rural economic development. Dr. Lobzang Stanzen focused on soil sampling techniques and encouraged participants to have their soils tested for the proper application of fertilizers and manures. He also provided insights on soil health management. The experts satisfactorily answered the queries raised by the participants. The program was assisted by Manohar Lal and Sh. Sanjay Kumar, and Dr. Lobzang Stanzen concluded the session with a formal vote of thanks. |
