EPFO's Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0: Spreading social security awareness in J&K, Ladakh!

JAMMU, May 27: EPFO Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh will be hosting the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 program on 29th May 2023, simultaneously at four venues: DC Office in Shopian, DC Office in Udhampur, Jammu Municipal Corporation in Jammu, and IOCL Bottling Plant in Leh. The program aims to create awareness and provide outreach regarding the provisions of social security to employers and employees in these areas. It will cover topics such as EDLI (Employee Deposit Linked Insurance) eligibility, benefits, and claims; managing passbook accounts; the importance of E-nomination; understanding UAN (Universal Account Number), UAN activation, member profile-KYC (Know Your Customer), and resolving UAN-related issues. The objective is to ensure active participation, awareness, grievance redressal, and an information exchange network for EPFO stakeholders.
Rizwan Uddin, Regional P F Commissioner - I, J&K and Ladakh, will be visiting Udhampur for the Nidhi Aapke Nikat program. He encourages subscribers, pensioners, establishments, employees' representatives, and industrial chambers to actively participate in the program. The Udhampur event will be addressed by Shri Rizwan Uddin, RPFC - I, along with Shri Sachin Vaishya, DC Udhampur. The respective venues and timings for the program are as follows:
1. Shopian: DC Office, Shopian - 29.05.2023, starting from 10:15 AM (one-hour duration)
2. Jammu: Jammu Municipal Corporation, Jammu - 29.05.2023, starting from 3:00 PM (one-hour duration)
3. Udhampur: DC Office, Udhampur - 29.05.2023, starting from 10:15 AM (one-hour duration)
4. Leh: IOCL Bottling Plant, Leh - 29.05.2023, starting from 10:30 AM (one-hour duration)
EPFO, Jammu will provide support and address the concerns of stakeholders at each venue. They will listen to suggestions, inputs, and grievances related to the implementation of the EPF & MP Act, 1952. The program will cover various aspects such as member enrollment, UAN activation, bank and Aadhaar seeding, online claim filing, e-nominations, e-sign, and ECR filing. Additionally, any other relevant issues related to EPFO can be discussed upon the desire of officers or stakeholders.
EPFO has been providing services and benefits of social security, including the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995, and enhanced quantum of Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Schemes, 1976 (up to Rs. Seven Lakhs), to employees in the Union territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh since November 2019. EPFO, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh are open to valuable suggestions during the Nidhi Aapke Nikat program.
