| Parihar: Increas upper age limit for KAS aspirants | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JAN 17: Keeping in view the rise of un-employment in the state, J&K National Party president, Dr. Randeep Parihar has urged upon the chief minister Omar Abdullah to increase the upper age limit upto 37 so that the candidates can sit for the KAS examination being held this year. Parihar said, the KAS exams are being held after a gap of over four years and the age number aspirants has crossed the age and as such age limit be raise to 37 year. He said it is not request for employment but for chance to sit in KAS examination. He said in UPSC examination every aspirants gets four chances and are conducted every year in time, sat on the other hand, he said the state PSC conducts the KAS exams after a gap of four years and as such the aspiring candidate lost the chance. He said states like, Andhra Pradesh, Mizoram etc have already enhanced the upper age limit for various exams upto 40 years, while reducing the age in state from 37 to 35 is a deliberate attempt to debar the open category candidates who are above 35 years
