| Young Politician offers land for IIM at Rajouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JAN 17: The people of Jammu and Ladakh regions have genuine grievances that their participating in the decision making and share in development programmes is quite decimal, said Awami Mansoor, Chairman Shahzad Khan at a press conference here today. Khan said, Rajouri and Poonch of the Jammu region are worst sufferers at the hands of policy makers who pay little attention towards the development of these border districts. He said allowing a feeling of isolation during the current political atmosphere can have dangerous repercussions. About discrimination and exclusion of Rajouri and Poonch, there is small and simple case to make understand how this entire region is being kept out of the consultation process by the government. Since October 2008, the cross- LoC trade running through two rotes Srinagar-Muzzafrabad and Poonch-Rawalakote. While entire focus of the government and the Business chambers and also of the media is on the route which goes through Kashmir and in Rajouri and Poonch don’t know how to be a part of this trade process. Trucks are changing sides every week and every fortnight but there is no participation from the people of Rajouri and Poonch and take this opportunity to request the friends from the media that they also look into these aspects of regional exclusion and give an agenda to the government for action. He also said that the union government has sanctioned a prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for the state Kashmir, this IIM an be established in Rajouir and establishment in either Rajouri or Poonch will inspire the young generation to think big and can offer to government any chunk of land required for establishment of IIM either at Rajouri or Poonch.
