‘Relieve police personnel under transfer, adjustment orders by May 29’
J&K Police sets deadline
5/28/2023 11:00:46 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, May 28: The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police have issued a wireless/leased-line message to all District Deputy Superintendents of Police (DDOs) to relieve police personnel under transfer or adjustment orders.
The message, sent by the Police Headquarters (PHQ) on May 27, 2023, emphasizes the importance of adhering to the specified deadline for relieving the personnel.
The message, addressed to various high-ranking officials including the Special Director General of Police (SPL DGSP) CID/CRIME J&K-Srinagar, Additional Director General of Police (ADSGP) Armed/Security/Railways J&K, Directors of SKPA Udhampur and SSG J&K Jammu, ADGPs of Jammu Zone and Kashmir Zone, Director of ACB J&K, and IGP Traffic J&K-Jammu, among others, highlights the need for prompt action.
According to the message, all police personnel who are under orders of transfer, adjustment, detachment, or attachment as per various PHQ orders must be relieved and assigned to their new places of postings by or before May 29, 2023. “Failure to comply with the deadline may result in departmental action being taken against the supervisory officers responsible for the delay,” the message states. The PHQ requests that the relieving orders of the personnel, along with departure reports, be shared with the PHQ through the designated email address: [email protected].
This step ensures proper documentation and monitoring of the relief process. The directive aims to streamline the transfer process and ensure the smooth transition of police personnel to their new assignments. By setting a clear deadline, the J&K Police expects timely compliance and efficient implementation of transfer orders.
The department emphasizes the importance of adherence to the deadline, as any delay in relieving personnel can disrupt the functioning and operations of the J&K Police. Effective coordination and compliance with the transfer orders will contribute to maintaining the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the police force.
It is expected that the wireless/leased-line message will serve as a reminder to all concerned officials and facilitate the smooth execution of the transfer process, ultimately benefiting the overall functioning of the J&K Police.
