| JPDA demands stern action against misuse of Red Cross logo | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 17- Taking strong notice of misuse of Red Cross logs, President Jammu Pharmaceutical Distributors Association Rakesh Gupta has appealed the Health Minister and the Drug Controller to immediately get the Red Cross logs removed wherever being used illegally. In and interactive session with the International Committee of Red Cross led by its Delegate-Team Leader , Miss Marie Astrid, President JDPA expressed regrets over the misuse of Red Cross logo and called for stern action against the violators . Marie Astrid, who also spoke on the occasion, was critical of the state government’s failure in not strictly following the Red Cross rules in Jammu and Kashmir and clarified that Red Cross sings can only be used by Pharmacy, Hospital, Doctors and Ambulances. Praising the selfless services of Marie Astrid towards suffering humanity in Ivory Coast , Tanzania , Somalia, the JPDA President said that during the last 18 months medicines worth Rs.15 crore were sent to Kashmir by the Jammu based distributors despite the 62 days hartal in Jammu in the wake of Amarnath land row strike
