| ON SPIRITUAL JOURNEY? | | Omar in Ajmer, Azad on Omrah | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 17: As people keenly await change expected to be brought about by new government the leaders of the National Conference-Congress coalition are on a holy journey. While Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today paid obeisance at the Dargah of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti (RA) in Ajmer Sharief, the leader of the coalition partner Congress and former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is off to Saudi Arabia performing Omrah. An official spokesman for the Chief Minister said today that Omar today visited the shrine of Hazrat Moinuddin Chisti (RA) in Ajmer Sharief to pay obeisance at the famous Sufi dargah. The Chief Minister, accompanied by wife, Payal Abdullah, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and family and Chief Minister's Political Advisor, Devender Singh Rana arrived from Mumbai and visited the shrine for thanksgiving and paying obeisance at the dargah of the Sufi saint, popularly known as Khawaja Gareeb Nawaz. The news of Mr. Omar Abdullah's arrival at the dargah evoked lot of interest among people who thronged the place to have a glimpse of him. They lined up the two sides of the road leading to the shrine to welcome him. The Chief Minister spent two hours at the shrine and prayed for early return of complete peace and normalcy and prosperity to Jammu & Kashmir. Several devotees from Kashmir as well as Jammu who had come to the shrine also met him and exchanged pleasantries.
