Jammu, Jan 18- All Party Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) today exposed an alleged land mafia nexus when it released a video CD depicting the encroachments of temple land by the land-mafia in connivance with the local administration of Kashmir Valley and demanded a CBI probe to unearth the mafia, besides setting up an autonomous development council in exile for the Kashmiri Pandit community. The organization also gave away Kashyap Bandhu and Shardha Suman awards to prominent social workers and journalists of the Kashmiri Pandit community on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of APMCC Vinod Pandit said that his organization had to face a lot of problems while shooting the CD which involved sting operations at various places to expose the encroachment of temple land and selling off of temple land by various people in full connivance of local administration adding a nation wide campaign would also be launched to highlight the depleting conditions of temples and shrines in Kashmir Valley. Vinod said that his organization also took pains to revive the ‘Hawan’ culture at various closed temples in the Kashmir Valley adding ‘the struggle to preserve 5000 year old identity would go on even if he was killed as he faces threat to his life from various quarters’.
