Deputy Commissioner distributes passports to Hajj pilgrims

BARAMULLA, June 1: In a bid to assist the intending Hajj pilgrims of Baramulla district, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Baramulla, distributed Hajj-related documents, including passports, to selected Hajj Pilgrims at the Dak Bungalow.
During the passport distribution, the DC assured the Hajj Pilgrims that the District Administration has made all the necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj journey in 2023. She emphasized the District Administration's commitment to provide all possible facilities and support to the pilgrims.
In an interaction with the pilgrims, the DC extended congratulations for their upcoming holy Hajj-2023 and urged them to pray for the well-being and prosperity of the people in the district.
It is noteworthy that a total of 1276 pilgrims from Baramulla district will embark on the annual Hajj pilgrimage from Srinagar International Airport, starting from June 7. Two flights will operate daily for the departure of the pilgrims.
During the event, the DC advised the pilgrims to report to Haj House Srinagar well in advance of their flight departure time to complete the necessary customs and immigration procedures on time, ensuring a hassle-free journey for all.
