| RBA candidates demand selection against left over posts of teachers | | | Early Times Report Srinagar January 18: Expressing concern for not selecting all the 67 candidates under RBA category, the left over candidates, who too had appeared in the interviews for teachers’ posts in Udhumpur district, are apprehensive that SSRB authorities may select the remaining 11 candidates under wraps. Reports indicate the SSRB had invited application forms for the selection of teachers for Udhumpur district through two separate notifications in which 67 posts were shown reserved for RBA category. The candidates who had applied under RBA category for all these posts have expressed resentment against the Board authorities for selecting only 56 candidates against the 67 vacancies that were notified in the advertisement notice. The candidates have called for an immediate selection of remaining 11 candidates. Meanwhile, a group of candidates from Kulgam whose selections have been withheld by the SSRB said that the Board is unnecessarily creating hurdles for them. "We have fulfilled all the formalities asked for and still our selections have been withheld", a group of Kulgam teacher candidates said here today. Alleging regional discrimination, the candidates said that no selections are withheld in Jammu Province by the SSRB.
