Fire safety mock drill conducted at Govt Hospital Sarwal

JAMMU, June 1: A fire safety mock drill was conducted today at Government Hospital Sarwal by the Hospital Administration in collaboration with J&K Fire Emergency Service. The hospital staff, including doctors, nurses, and support personnel, efficiently followed the fire safety protocols and procedures. The drill began with a lecture and demonstration delivered by Kiran Ji Raina, Fire Safety Officer, and his team. The mock drill simulated a fire outbreak within the hospital premises. Swift action was taken, and fire safety measures were implemented to contain and prevent the spread of the fire to other areas. The expert team provided hands-on training to the staff on the operation of different types of fire extinguishers. The visiting fire safety officers also demonstrated the use of fire tenders and other fire safety equipment. Following the mock drill, a debriefing session was conducted to evaluate the staff’s performance and identify areas for improvement. Overall, the fire safety drill was deemed successful. The fire safety drill was conducted upon the written request of the Hospital Administration and marked the first demonstration of its kind at GH Sarwal.
