G20’s success reflects trust in PM Modi’s leadership
6/1/2023 11:01:43 PM
The recently concluded G20 meeting in Kashmir marks a significant milestone and sends a powerful message to those who perpetuate trouble and unrest. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha rightly emphasizes that the successful hosting of this international event is a moment of pride for the nation and a valuable lesson for those who seek to destabilize Jammu and Kashmir.
The fact that around 60 foreign delegates attended the three-day Tourism G20 Working Group meeting, the first major international gathering in the region since August 2019, speaks volumes about the positive transformation that has taken place. The scrapping of the erstwhile state’s special status in 2019 has brought about a remarkable change in J&K, as highlighted by LG Sinha.
The enthusiastic response of the people of J&K to the G20 event reflects their increased confidence in the administration and the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is heartening to witness places like Shopian and Pulwama, previously associated with violence, now hosting rallies where thousands of individuals proudly chant “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” This transformation is a testament to the progress and unity that J&K has achieved in the past three years.
In addition to the successful G20 meeting, the occasion of World Milk Day provides an opportunity to recognize the transformative potential of the dairy sector in J&K. Lieutenant Governor Sinha rightly asserts that the state is on track to become milk surplus in the coming years, thanks to their holistic development initiatives. The dairy sector not only benefits local farmers but also has a positive ripple effect on other industries, creating employment opportunities and boosting the overall economy.
The implementation of schemes like the Kisan Samparak Scheme has uplifted marginalized farmers and contributed to increased productivity and job creation. This integrated approach to development is commendable and reinforces the commitment to the well-being of the people of J&K.
The successful G20 meeting and the progress in the dairy sector showcase the positive trajectory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a testament to the resilience, determination, and unity of its people. As we move forward, it is imperative to build on these achievements, continuing to foster an environment of peace, development, and inclusivity.
