Panun Kashmir observe 19th ‘Holocaust Day’

JAMMU, JAN 18: Panun Kashmir a organization of Kashmiri Pandits I n exile observed 19th holocaust day.
Dr. Ajay Chrungoo senior leader of the organization while addressing the members said, January 19, 190 was the day when terrorist entrepreneurs under the aegis of JKLF and other allied outfits declared war against Kashmiri pandits a minority community, through treats, selective killing etc. He said this type of hatred paved way for religious cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus, the aborigines of Kashmir. He further said that this day is observed to hold pretests, takout rallies and to make resolve to keep reminding the world that this community will never accept its cleansing as a fait accompli.
Kashmir pandits have been great survivors and have survived exoduses during the last 650 years but they retain the will to survive in future also. Chrungoo said.
O N Trisal while praising the Panun Kashmir leadership for carrying on the struggle with vision and determination. He recalled the great moments in December 1991 when Kashmiri pandits under the aegis of Panun Kashmir at a place in Jammu named after the great Saivite Acharya Abhinav Gupta passed a resolution demanding “Homeland”. Our rehabilitation and said that we have dreams and dreams will come to fruition, when winter comes can spring be far behind.
Welcoming the government of India in seeking global cooperation in the war against terrorist, Kuleep Raina a speaker on the occasion that, “ The Mumbai terrorist violence has galvanized the national opinion and crystallized national consensus more than nay act of violence in recent times, the religious cleansing of Kashmir Hindus from Kashmir did not outrage the nation even though in the intensity and by implication it continues to be the more gruesome attack on the “ Idea of India”, “ pandits may be lacking in population but retained great symbolic significance he said. Prof. M L Kaul called upon the community members to prepare themselves for the demonstrative phase of Panun Kashmir Moment.
The meet concluded with a resolve to fight the internal and as well as external enemy, to raise their banner of struggle against all kinds of terror and to awaken a world opinion for reversing the genocide of Hindus in Kashmir as a cardinal principal of fight against terrorism.
The proceedings of the meet were conducted by B L Kaul also paid tributes to one Radha Krihsan Sher who passed away recently at Jammu. Speakers on the occasion praised late R K Sher who throughout his life remained disciplinarian and a nationalist at core.
