| Udhampur residents to get PRCs at tehsil offices | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, JAN 18: To ensure greater transparency and efficiency in the functioning of administration for the benefit of general public, the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. Ajay Khajuria has empowered two officers of Revenue Department to dispose off Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) by conducting on the spot visits to tehsil headquarters every month. According to the Deputy Commissioner, the step has been necessitated to avoid delay in the issuance of PRCs and ensure prompt disposal of Permanent Resident Certificates case, giving relief to the people particularly those living in far-flung areas. The Revenue Officers designated by the Deputy Commissioner for the purpose include Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Udhampur who would hold camps at Tehsil headquarter Chenani on 5th and 20th of each month and at Tehsil Majalta on 10th and 25th of each month to settle PRCs cases on the spot. Similarly, Sub –Divisional Magistrate, Dudu-Basantgarh, has been assigned the task of disposing such cases at Tehsil Headquarter, Ramnagar on every 5th and 20th of each month. In case of holiday on any of the above mentioned dates, the camp at the concerned location would be held on next working day.
