Humanity Public School triumph in Inter-Zonal Tug of War

JAMMU, June 5: The students of Humanity Public School (HPS) in Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, have brought immense pride to their school by emerging victorious in the final match of the Under-14 (Boys) Tug of War event. The tournament took place at the Sports Stadium in Samba as part of the Inter-Zonal District Level Tug of War Tournament organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (District - Samba).
The winning team from HPS Bassi Kalan Boys U-14, led by Captain Raghav Singh and Vice Captain Yuvraj Meenia, showcased exceptional strength and teamwork in defeating M.V International School in the thrilling final match. The team members, including Ranvijay Singh, Aryan, Soham, Mohd. Abid, Vansh Kumar, and Manjit Rai, demonstrated their determination and skill throughout the competition.
The tournament witnessed participation from five zones of Samba District, with a total of 40 participants from across the district. Under the patronage of Director YSS Sh. Subash Chander Chibber and the guidance of Smt. Chander Kanta, the District Youth Services & Sports Officer in Samba, the tournament showcased the sporting talent of the region.
In recognition of their remarkable achievement, a special assembly was organized at HPS to honor the victorious students. Gaurav Charak, the school's Principal, commended the students for their outstanding performance, attributing their success to the dedicated coaching of Head Coach Mahan Singh, along with coaches Shamsher Singh, Surjeet Singh, Rajan Singh, and Meenali Jamwal. Principal Charak also emphasized the school's commitment to nurturing and showcasing sports talent in the region, highlighting the importance of team sports in building physical fitness, alertness, and overall well-being.
. Anku Charak, the Vice-Principal of the school, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the winning team and applauded the organizing committee and the Department of Youth and Service Sports in Samba for hosting such a grand sporting event. She wished the best of luck to all the school officials and participants, acknowledging the significant role played by sports in shaping young individuals.
