Indian Railways appeals for identification of deceased in Odisha Rail accident

NEW DELHI, June 5: Indian Railways, in collaboration with the Odisha Government, appeals for assistance in identifying the deceased individuals involved in the tragic rail accident in Bahanaga, Odisha. To aid families and friends in locating their missing relatives, the railway authorities have provided links to photos of the deceased, lists of passengers admitted to hospitals, and information on unidentified bodies. The Railway Helpline number 139 is available 24/7 to connect with the families and relatives of the affected passengers. The helpline is staffed by senior railway officials. Additionally, the BMC Helpline Numbers 18003450061 and 1929 are also operational round the clock. The Municipal Commissioner's office in Bhubaneswar has established a control room to assist and direct people to hospitals or mortuaries as required. Dedicated officials have been deployed to facilitate the process. Please use the provided resources and helpline numbers to help in the identification of the deceased and provide support to the affected families.
