District-level Badminton, Tug of War tournament inaugurated at Ramban

RAMBAN, June 8: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Ramban kickstarted the District Level Badminton and Tug of War Tournament for U14 and U17 Boys and Girls at the District Police Lines.
A total of 169 boys and girls enthusiastically participated in the tournament, which aims to promote sportsmanship, talent, and healthy competition among the youth of the district.
The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of ZPEOs of Banihal and Khari, along with officials from the YSS department Ramban.
This event holds great significance in nurturing sports at the grassroots level and providing a platform for young participants to showcase their skills.
The tournament features different categories, including Under 14 and Under 17 Age Groups for both boys and girls, ensuring equal opportunities for participation and recognition.
During the inauguration ceremony, the ZPEO Banihal Zone YSS Ramban addressed the audience and expressed gratitude to the participants and all those involved in organizing the sporting extravaganza.
The importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and overall personality development among the youth was highlighted. The commitment of the department to identify and nurture talented individuals was also emphasized.
The tournament promises to be an enthralling display of skills and sportsmanship as participants compete in Badminton and Tug of War matches, showcasing strategic moves, precise shots, and remarkable talent.
The Youth Services and Sports Department Ramban extends its gratitude to the District Administration, institute heads, staff members, and Technical Officials for their support.
In the Badminton category, winners and runners-up were determined in various age groups and genders. Similarly, in Tug of War, winners were declared in different age groups and genders.
The entire tournament was organized under the guidance of DYSSO Ramban Dharamveer Singh and the overall supervision of Activity Incharge Arun Kumar.
