| DC Jammu reviews arrangements for SANJY '23 | | Allots duties to nodal officers | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 10: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa today convened a meeting here in the DC Office complex to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023.
ADC (L&O), Harvinder Singh, ADC (Adm) Sandeep Seointra, ACR, Piyush Dhotra, SDMs, Tehsildars and other concerned officials were present in the meeting.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the arrangements made for pilgrims especially at registration counters.
The Deputy Commissioner also allotted separate duties to SDMs appointed as nodal officers at different registration counters to ensure that all necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of Yatra were made by respective departments well in time.
It was informed to the Chair that pilgrims can do online registration, while five counters have been established for Tatkal registration of the pilgrims i.e at Vaishnavi Dham, Mahajan Sabha, Panchayat Ghar and two at Geeta Bhawan and Ram Mandir for the registration of Sadhus.
It was also apprised that RIFD and e-KYC will also be done at these counters and a token counter has also been established at Saraswati Dham for the disbursement of pilgrims and crowd management.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the nodal officers to visit their respective counters and put in place all the required facilities before 25th June. She also asked them to conduct the test-run of facilities so that pilgrims don't face any kind of problem during the yatra. |
