In a first, Yasha Mudgal inaugurates Nescafe outlet at Super Bazar

JAMMU, June 10: Commissioner Secretary Cooperative, Yasha Mudgal, today inaugurated Nescafé outlet at Super Bazar Jammu during her first visit there after the modernization work was undertaken at the market.
The Nescafe outlet will boost business of Super Bazar Jammu as it will lead to increased footfall of visitors.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Secretary exhorted upon the departmental officials and Super Bazar employees to work earnestly and provide best services to the general public on competitive prices. She added that it should be their endeavour to make Super Bazars one of the most competitive and best stores in the market where people come to shop for their everyday needs.
She also laid down broader guidelines for making optimum utilization of infrastructure owned by Super Bazar, Jammu at best locations in the city including Gandhi Nagar, Gole Market, Jammu University and outlet at Civil Secretariat, Jammu. She gave on the spot instructions for keeping these outlets open till late hours so that the people can visit and shop the way they do at other stores in the market.
Commissioner Secretary also passed instructions regarding displaying commodities in an attractive and alluring manner upto satisfaction of buyers. She also directed for setting higher sale targets for Super Bazar for the ongoing and next financial year.
In her welcome address General Manager, Super Bazar, Dr. Punika Pandita, apprised the Commissioner Secretary of the progress made by Super Bazar in sales portfolio over the last financial year. She highlighted that sales worth Rs.10 crore have been made which is 27 per cent more than the preceding year.
General Manager added that targets were attained by supplying nutritional items worth Rs. 2 crore under Supplementary Nutrition Programme to various anganwadi centres for diversifying the business. Last year Super Bazar successfully ran a counter at Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar to cater to the needs of devotees of Shri Amarnath Ji and there is plan to do the same this year as well.
Additional Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Jammu Dr. Nirupa Rai, also spoke on the occasion. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Joint Registrar (Audit), Joint Registrar (Special), Additional Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Registrar (Agri), Jammu.
