| Kathua DC reviews banks performance | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, JAN 19: A District Level Review/District Consultative Committee meeting was held here today to review the credits advanced by various banks in the district. District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Ms. Mandeep Kaur presided. Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Mr. R.K. Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mr. S.K. Kapoor, Lead Bank Officer, Mr. Tarseem Kumar, DDM, NABARD, Mr. L, R. Dogra, Officers from line departments, Bankers and BDOs were present in the meeting. It was apprised in the meeting that against the annual target of 17729 beneficiaries with an outlay of Rs.99.39 crore, an achievement of 1742 cases with financial outlay of Rs. 22.76 crore was made which comes to 22.93% of the proposed target. The J&K Bank took the lead by financing 623 cases, PNB with 443 cases JCCB with 235 cases SBI with 234 cases, JRB with 179 cases and CBI with 27 cases. Under Agriculture Sector against target of 14033 cases with financial outlay of Rs. 37.77 crore 971 beneficiaries were financed with an amount of Rs. 7.42 crore. Under Non- Farm sector and SSI sector against annual target of 864 cases with financial outlay of Rs. 18.76 crore, 159 beneficiaries were provided banking finance to the tune of Rs. 3.21 crore. Under Kissan Credit Card scheme as on by the end of September, 2008, 228 KCCs were sanctioned and 224 KCCs were financed involving an outlay of Rs. 90.60 lakh. |
