Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 12: Hari Singh Chib, President of District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural, along with Corporator Rajni Bala, visited Mohallah Tiny Tot Dhok Paloura in the Jammu North Assembly segment. They actively listened to the grievances raised by the residents.
During the visit, the inhabitants of the area highlighted various issues including unscheduled power cuts, shortage of drinking water, non-functioning street lights, the deteriorating condition of the link road to a temple in Tiny Tot Higher Secondary School, the need for constructing bathrooms near Temani Temple, and the requirement of a water tank for storing water in the bathroom building.
Chib expressed his disappointment over the unscheduled power cuts, particularly during the scorching heat, which has made life miserable for the people in the area. He also criticized the non-completion of a water supply scheme in Mohallah Dhok for the past ten years, emphasizing that the residents are not receiving regular water supply due to the lack of progress in identifying a water source. No tube well has been dug for the scheme and no land has been designated for the tube well for Water Supply Scheme Mohallah Dhok Paloura.
The senior Congress leader also voiced his concern about the imposition of property tax by the administration and urged the district administration to address the issues raised by the people seriously. He highlighted the contradiction between the government's claim of providing regular water supply to every household and the ground reality experienced by the residents.
Hari Singh Chib appealed to the residents of the area to support and strengthen the Congress Party in order to end the misrule of the present dispensation. He emphasized that the Congress Party is dedicated to upholding the principles of democracy and freedom. He urged the people to unite and work towards building a better future for all.
Corporator Rajni Bala, in her address, assured the residents that she would take up the concerns regarding the construction of bathrooms, road repairs, non-functioning street lights, and drinking water with the Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for prompt resolution in Ward No. 60. She pledged to raise these issues with the relevant authorities for swift action.
