International day of Yoga: Mega programme planning event at Vishwa Yog Samsthaan

Jammu, June 6: We are pleased to bring you an update on the recent International Day of Yoga mega programme planning event held at the Vishwa Yog Samsthaan (World Yog Institute) ashram premises in Hari Ki Pauri, Bagh e Bahu, Jammu. This event marked an important step in the preparation for the upcoming International Day of Yoga, which is celebrated globally on June 21st each year.
The event witnessed an impressive collaboration of 20 organizations, all united in their commitment to promoting the practice of yoga and its numerous benefits. These organizations, ranging from educational institutions to social welfare groups, came together with a common goal of spreading awareness about yoga and encouraging its adoption among the masses.
Lalit Mahajan ji, Chairman of the Federation of Industries, Jammu, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the significance of celebrating the International Day of and stressed the importance of taking yoga to the masses. Shri Mahajan ji highlighted how yoga has the potential to bring about positive transformations in individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
Yog Guru Karan, a prominent figure in the field of yoga, also shared his insights during the event. He spoke passionately about the pivotal role that yoga can play in transforming the youth of Jammu. By incorporating yoga into their lives, the young generation can overcome challenges such as drug addiction and contribute to building a healthier and more harmonious society.
Among the other esteemed dignitaries present at the event were Shri Rajesh Padha ji, Shri Rajan Gupta ji, and Shri Balkar Singh ji. Their participation and support further highlighted the collective effort and commitment towards promoting yoga as a means to improve physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
The planning event concluded with the formulation of various strategies and initiatives to be implemented in the lead-up to the International Day of Yoga.
These included organizing awareness campaigns, conducting yoga workshops and demonstrations, and encouraging community participation in yoga-related activities.
