YCET organizes session on emerging trends

Jammu, June 13: During the first session, the Department of Civil Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), in collaboration with CADD Centre, Jammu, organised a “Session on “Emerging Trends in CAD/CAM/CAE/PPM” for Civil Engg, Mechanical Engg, and Electrical Engg. students.
The second session was held on “Live Wire Software” in Online Mode, and it discussed Chat-GPT, AI, ML, and Data Structure for Computer Science Engineering students. The session began with welcome address by Er. Rajnish Magotra, HOD (Civil Engg.) and Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean (Academics), presented bouquet to the resource person Mr. Surjeet Kumar (Manager, Revenue Growth and Operations, New Delhi) and Er. K.R Sharma, Professor, Mechanical Engg. Presented bouquet to Mrs. Anjali Chopra, Director, CADD Centre, Jammu. The programme commenced with the presentation of Mr. Surjeet Kumar (Manager, Revenue Growth and Operations, New Delhi) as a resource person, who discussed with the students in detail about various technologies and softwares being adopted by Civil Engg., Electrical Engg. and Mechanical Engg. fields.
He said that due to the introduction of various softwares engineering works have become much easier and faster. He discussed in detail about CAD, Staad Pro, Etabs, MX Roads, Product Design cycle with CAD/CAM/CAE and said that for getting good placement, knowing about such softwares and technologies is must. During this session he discussed about various types of internships provided by the CADD Centre.
The session was very informative and interactive. The management extended best wishes for organizing such session which is very beneficial for students as well as faculty. The other dignitaries present were all the Hod’s of various departments, faculty members.
The programme was coordinated by Er. Kumar Rishabh, AP. The session was ended with a formal vote of thanks by Er. Manjula Sharma, Assistant Training Placement Officer, YCET, Jammu.
