Distt Admin holds Public Grievance Camp at CFC Chennai

UDHAMPUR, June 14: A Public Outreach camp was held today at Community Facility Centre (CFC) Tehsil Headquarter Chenani as part of the weekly Block Diwas program, where Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya listened to the public demands and aspirations. The camp was attended by District Development Council Chairperson Lal Chand, Additional District Development Commissioner Ghan Shyam Singh, BDC Chairman Parkash Chand, CEO PDA Sher Singh, ACD Dr Ranjeet Kotwal, other District and Sectoral officers, PRI representatives, and a large number of people from adjoining panchayats. During the camp, the public and their representatives raised several issues and demands for their areas. These included compensation for land acquired for the Bupp to Barkunda and Barkunda to Kharwa PMGSY road, separate ration cards, repair of hand pumps, opening of new ration sale depot, construction of a motorable bridge over the Tawi river at Panchayat Bupp and Matlowa, provision of JKRTC bus service on Udhampur, Chennai, Mantalai, Latti, and Dudu routes, construction of a road under PMGSY from Nagulta to Rajjar Block Chenani, blacktopping of different roads, addressing the shortage of staff in Nagulta Government High school, upgradation of irrigation khuls, upgradation of middle to high schools, upgradation of road from Mantali to Naina Devi, creation of self-help groups, shortage of staff in health institutions, construction of passenger sheds, and handing over of PHC building at Basht, among others. The Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to all the issues raised by the PRI members and the public during the event. Several grievances were redressed on the spot during the camp through the intervention and directions given to officers of concerned departments. The remaining demands will be addressed on a priority basis by mobilizing budgetary provisions in the best interest of the public, added the DC. The DC stated that the decisions taken during the Public Grievance Redressal camp regarding public issues and demands will be followed up properly to ensure that all demands are fulfilled for the benefit of the public.
