First big ICOP on 9 years of Government concludes

SAMBA, June 14: The first big ICOP (Multimedia Exhibition) on the nine years of the government, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, concluded in Samba. The concluding ceremony took place at Kehli Mandi Ground, Samba, and was presided over by Senior Superintendent of Police, Benam Tosh.
During the ceremony, Benam Tosh commended CBC for successfully organizing the mass awareness program and emphasized the crucial role of CBC in transforming Jammu and Kashmir by disseminating important information about various Government of India schemes at the grassroots level. He stressed the importance of spreading this information to the local communities.
Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director of CBC for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh region, expressed gratitude to the district administration of Samba and all stakeholders for their coordination in organizing the first big ICOP on nine years of the government. He acknowledged the enthusiasm of the participants, including officials, ASHA workers, teachers, students, and citizens, and emphasized that awareness and active participation are essential for ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the intended beneficiaries.
Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director of CBC for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh region, encouraged the youth to focus on various career opportunities provided by the government and to contribute to nation-building for the betterment of the country.
ASP Samba, Surinder Chaudhary, who also attended the concluding ceremony, emphasized the responsibility of the youth in spreading awareness about the detrimental effects of drug addiction on society.
The event featured resource persons from different departments who highlighted the schemes under flagship programs. Cultural performances related to the themes were presented by CBC Jammu and PRTs. Nodal departments participating in the exhibition were recognized during the closing ceremony.
Throughout the exhibition, multimedia displays showcased the achievements of the government over the past nine years. Panels and stalls were set up by various departments of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, including Animal Husbandry, ICDS, Health, and Employment. These departments also provided on-the-spot services by enrolling beneficiaries online.
