| Fake currency racket accused denied bail | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 20- The 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, RS Jain today rejected the bail application of one Daduram, one of the members of the fake currency notes and Narcotics racketeers. While rejecting the bail application the Judge observed that in the present case, the petitioner is involved in a racket of fake currency notes and illicit narcotics which are serious in nature. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and in the larger interest of the society and the state, Court is of the view that no good ground is made out by the petitioner for enlarging him on bail hence the bail application is rejected. According to the police case on December 11, 2008 at about 3:45 PM three persons coming from the Kotli were signaled to stop for checking purpose. Instead of responding to the signal they ran away. All the three persons were caught by the police party who were on Naka and recovered 2 kg Poppy Straw and 12 fake currency notes of Rs 1000 denomination from Harnam Singh, 23 fake currency notes of Rs 1000 denomination were recovered from Thoru Ram while 17 fake currency notes of Rs 1000 denomination were recovered from Daduram and a case was registered by Miran Sahib Police u/s 18/15 NDPS Act and 489-B RPC against the accused persons. The accused Daduram filed bail application which was listed before the 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, which was finally rejected JNF.
