GDC Ukhral conducts awareness programme

UKHRAL, June 20: GDC Ukhral, in collaboration with DNO/HADP Ramban, organized an insightful awareness programme on the Skill Management Programmes offered by Daksh Kisan. These programmes provide opportunities for skill enhancement and livelihood generation through 120 diverse courses. The resource persons for the event, Dr. Azhar Hussain and Dr. Pervaiz, delved into the essence, functions, and vision behind the wide array of courses offered.
During the programme, the process of registration and enrollment for aspiring individuals was elucidated, ensuring clarity for interested participants. Dr. Shallu Samyal, the Principal of the College, highlighted the government's rationale behind establishing these schemes, emphasizing their importance in empowering individuals with practical skills.
The programme also witnessed the presence of Mr. Aijaz Ahmad, the District Sericulture Officer of Ramban, who provided comprehensive insights into the schemes offered by various government departments. He also shed light on the relevant courses offered by the two universities of the SKAUST.
The programme attracted a diverse audience, including students, aspiring individuals from the community, and college staff members. Prof. Zakir Hussain, the College NSS Officer, efficiently coordinated the event, ensuring its smooth execution. Technical support was provided by Akash Verma, contributing to the overall success of the programme.
This awareness initiative aimed to encourage individuals to explore the vast opportunities available through Daksh Kisan's Skill Management Programmes. By equipping themselves with practical skills and knowledge, participants can enhance their employability and create sustainable livelihoods.
