NSS national integration camp for school volunteers organized in Haryana

JAMMU, June 24: A National Integration camp for NSS volunteers of School Education was organized at GSSS JAKHOLI ADDA KAITHAL HARYANA from 14th to 20th (7 days) under the theme Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. This camp, a program of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, was organized by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Haryana.
The event marked the first-ever participation of the Jammu team from School Education in such a camp. Ten volunteers (5 boys and 5 girls) from different institutions of School Education in Jammu were accompanied by. Kuldeep Gupta, a lecturer in Zoology and the Programme Officer of NSS unit GGHSS Arnia, as per the directions of the Directorate of School Jammu.
The initiative was taken by the Directorate of School Education Jammu, under the guidance of Ashok Kumar (JKAS), the worthy Director of School Education Jammu. Monika Bhandari (JKAS), the Chief Account Officer, and Govind Sharma, the Nodal Officer DSEJ, showed keen interest in providing this opportunity for the volunteers of School Education Jammu to participate at the national level.
Around 200 volunteers and 15 programme officers from across the country participated in the camp. Various events such as Yoga, solo song and dance competitions on patriotic/folk themes, poster making, slogan writing, rangoli, and debates were organized. The daily cultural evenings featured presentations from different states about their culture.
Under the guidance and supervision of Kuldeep Gupta, the program officer, the volunteers from Jammu actively participated in all the events and received appreciation from the participants. Mannat and Himani from JAMMU received prizes in the solo dance and solo song competitions.
