| Akhnoor police solves Hit & run case | | |

Jammu, June 26: An information was received at PS Akhnoor through reliable sources that one person namely Vishal Kumar S/o Late Shathi Ram R/o Panjgiari who was on his M/cycle bearing registration No.JK02DA-0431 got hit by an unknown vehicle driven by some unknown person which caused injuries to the said person. Locals shifted the injured to nearby hospital where the person succumbed to injuries.
On this a case FIR No. 175/2023 U/s 279/304-A IPC was registered at PS Akhnoor and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PS Akhnoor led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma assisted by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr. Zaheer Mushtaq did strenuous efforts and with the help of various CCTV footages of the area finally arrested the accused person namely Banarsi Lal S/o Bal Krishan R/o Bhalwal who confessed his involvement in the above case. Also the vehicle used in commission of offence bearing Registration No JK02AW 3447 was also seized.
Further investigation of the case is going on. |
