NC Criticizes BJP’s ‘Maha Jan Samparak Abhiyan’ as mockery of nine years in power
7/3/2023 10:29:19 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 3 : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference strongly criticized the recent ‘Maha Jan Samparak Abhiyan’ launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which highlighted its achievements during its nine years in power. The National Conference labeled this campaign as nothing more than a farce and a mockery of the BJP-led government.
Rattan Lal Gupta, the Provincial President of JKNC Jammu, issued a statement expressing disappointment with the BJP’s attempts to connect with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Instead of a warm welcome, BJP leaders are being confronted with genuine concerns and questions from the residents.
Gupta pointed out that the people have legitimate questions regarding the power crisis that remains unaddressed despite the BJP being in power for the last nine years at the Centre. Similarly, the lack of regular water supply, despite funds allocated for the Jal Jeevan Mission aimed at providing tap water to every household, has also raised concerns among the people.
During the so-called Jan Samparak Abhiyan, people have raised other issues such as vacant government posts, shortage of specialized doctors, failure to raise Border Battalions, lack of regularization policy for daily wage workers, and the absence of action against those involved in recruitment scams.
Gupta strongly criticized the BJP for continuously betraying the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that the ruling party at the Centre has shown disregard and disrespect for the sentiments and aspirations of the people, despite receiving a significant mandate in the 2014 Assembly and 2019 Parliamentary elections. This erosion of trust has created an atmosphere of frustration and apprehension, and he demanded the immediate restoration of democracy in the Union Territory.
The senior leader of the National Conference highlighted that the BJP’s actions have undermined the principles of democratic governance. He stressed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve to have their voices heard, their concerns addressed, and their rights protected in line with the Constitution.
Gupta reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that only the National Conference can fulfill the aspirations of the region. He pledged to continue fighting for their rights and working towards the restoration of democracy in the region.
