Early Times Report

RAMBAN, July 3: The first day of eleventh round of ongoing Kisan Sampark Abhiyan (Farmers Orientation Programme) under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with the theme Aatmanirbhar Bharat was held today in 03 blocks of district Ramban.
The panchayat level Orientation Programme was organised at Panchayat Ghar Krewa Banihal, Seri Ramban and Paristan Ukhral.
People turned up in large numbers and were keen to learn about the schemes of HADP and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
The participating farmers were sensitised about different schemes aimed at holistic development and promotion of Agriculture and allied sectors and enable the farmers to get maximum profit and create employment opportunities.
The use of audio-visual aids used to explain the schemes engaged and engrossed the farmers. Informative booklets in three languages regarding the scheme of HADP were distributed among the participants. A Baseline survey/Skill gap study of the farmers was also carried out simultaneously during the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan.
Farmers were also informed about Daksh Kisan and Kisan Sathi Portal. The mode of filing application using the KISAN SATHI- the IT Dashboard of the schemes developed by APD was also explained to the farmers. A simple scan of the QR code on the pamphlets takes the farmer to the KISAN SATHI Portal where he can register easily and there is no need for visiting any office for applying for any of the schemes.
The experts also apprised the participants about DAKSH KISAN- a Learning Management System (LMS) for skill development of the farmers. A first of its kind in the country, DAKSH KISAN, has been developed by Agriculture Production Department, where 118 skilling courses as per the agro-climatic zones of the J&K UT are available for free to the farmers.
In addition to this, threadbare discussions and Question Answer sessions were held at all the venues following each video screening session to address farmers’ queries. Around 142 farmers were registered during the first day of the 11th round of Kisan Sampark Abhiyan.
