Jammu, July 3: In an emergency meeting held at Dogri Bhawan, Karan Nagar Jammu, the office bearers of Dogri Sanstha Jammu paid rich tributes to Gyaneshwar, a renowned Dogri writer who passed away recently. The meeting was organized to honor his contributions to the Dogri language and literature.
Remembering his long association with Gyaneshwar, Prof. Lalit Magotra, President of Dogri Sanstha Jammu, described him as not only a prolific Dogri writer but also a kind-hearted individual. Gyaneshwar's enthusiasm for promoting the mother tongue was commendable, and he always radiated positivity.
He inspired others to write in their mother tongue and made significant contributions as a poet, lyricist, and children's literature writer. His sad demise has created an irreplaceable void in the literary world.
Rajeshwar Singh 'Raju,' the General Secretary of Dogri Sanstha, paid rich tributes to Gyaneshwar, highlighting his inspiring presence and remarkable contributions. Gyaneshwar's poetry and children's literature have enriched Dogri literature, earning him prestigious accolades such as the Sahitya Akademi awards.
As the Vice President of Dogri Sanstha Jammu, he dedicated his efforts to the preservation and promotion of the Dogri language and regional cultural traditions.
In memory of Gyaneshwar, it was decided that a condolence meeting would be held on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, at 5 pm at Dogri Sanstha, Karan Nagar Jammu. The meeting aims to pay homage to this noble soul. Other attendees also shared their fond memories and associations with Gyaneshwar while offering their heartfelt tributes. |
