Mahan Gurmat Samagam concludes at Khari Sahib Gurudwara

POONCH, July 3: Mahan Gurmat Samagam (Religious congregation) at Gurudwara Yaadgaar Sant Bhai Bahadur Singh Ji Dharamshala Kharrhi on extreme LOC near Chakan Da Bagh in Poonch concluded today. The one and a half month long spiritual congregation witnessed huge participation of devotees from different sections of society and communities.
Every year management of the religious place along with different religious organizations organise a Gurmat Samagam which starts in the last week of May and ends in the first week of July.
In the Samagam, a number of programmes were organised by different religious organizations such as Istri Satsang Sabha, All India Sikh Students Federation, Sikh Noujwan Sabha, Sikh Missionary College Ludhiana, Children programmes, Gurmat Sikhlayi Camp for children, Free Medical Camp, Rehan Sabhayi and Amrit Sanchar.
This year the programme was dedicated to 200 year martyrdom of Great Sikh warrior, Sikh Scholar and Jathedar Shri Akaal Takhat Sahib Akali Baba Phoola Singh Ji who contributed a lot in preaching Sikh Philosophy and also in expansion of Khalsa Raaj of Maharaja Ranjit Singh by participating in a number of wars along with Maharaja Ranjit Singh Khalsa Darbar Army. In today's last programme Hazoori Raagi Jatha of Bhai Simarpreet Singh recited Gurbani Keertan.
Bhai Balvinder Singh, Sachkhand Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, was special invitee who interacted with Sangat and preached Sikh Philosophy, Sikh history and contributions made by Akali Phoola Singh Ji who was known for his dedication towards Sikh panth and Sikh principles. He said that his tenure as Akal Takhat Sahib's Jathedar was highly remarkable and known worldwide.
Hazuri Ragi Sachkhand Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, Bhai Simarpreet Singh, Local Raagis and preachers also recited Gurbani Keertan and addressed Sikh Sangat as per Sikh Philosophy and life history of Akaali Baba Phoola Singh Ji, Jathedar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Sikh General, S Charanjeet Singh Khalsa Ex MLC also addressed the Sikh Sangat and urged them to follow the path shown by great Sikh Gurus for the service of humanity.
S Harcharan Singh Khalsa, while interacting with Sangat, urged Sangat to trust in Guru Garanth Sahib Ji and follow the path of Great Sikh gurus and gursikhs . He also quoted the examples from the life of Akali Phoola Singh ji and his contribution in Khalsa Panth . He urged Sikh youths to contribute in eradication of social evils and appreciated the role of Sikh youths throughout the globe during the Corona pandemic.
Senior Officers from Civil Police and Army also offered their prayers and interacted with Sangat.
DDC Chairperson, Tazeem Akhter and DDC Member Loran, Riaz Naz also visited the Samagam and were honoured by management.
SSP Poonch, Vinay Kumar, Commander 93 Inf Brigade, Rajesh Bisht, Colonel 8 field Regiment, Amit Kumar, Commanding officer 5 JAK LI, Rohit Badhwa, Artillery , Major Ranjit Singh Artillery , Commandant CRPF DS Bishat, SHO Poonch, Jahangir Mir, Ex MLC were honoured by the management.
SSP Poonch and Brigade Commander also addressed the sangat and congratulated management for organizing the programme. Meritorious Sikh Students of 10th and12th class were also honoured on the occasion.
S Jugpal Singh, DGPC member from Jammu and S Satinderpal Singh preacher from Jammu also participated and addressed the sangat.
