| IG promises to strengthen Civil Defence Organization | | | Early Times Report Jammu January 22- Addressing a day long Civil Defence-cum-Training camp at Middle School Satwari, the Inspector General of Police, Home Guards and Civil Defence, Mr. Dilbagh Singh said that the Civil Defence Organization always remains in forefront during the crisis. The nature of the duties of the Civil Defence is different from that of the police and as such it can bridge the gap between the police and public at large. He promised all possible assistance to make it better equipped to enable the workers to deal with the crisis effectively. He also discussed various measures regarding the teaching and learning of safety and rescue measures in the events of disasters. Iintellectuals and other citizens of the area participated in this camp. Lectures were delivered by Deputy Chief Wardens, Mr. Vinod Malhotra and Mr. Permit Kumar, ZEPO, Mr. D. N. Gangoo and S. Rajinder Singh. A Legislature Section was also held in this camp.
