| AG resigns | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 22: Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir State DC Raina today submitted his resignation to Chief Secretary of J&K state. According to the source close to the Advocate General' Office that Sr. Adv DC Raina who was appointed as Advocate General of J&K State on September 25, 2008 during Governor's Rule has submitted his resignation in which he stated that he was appointed in Governor's Rule and popular Govt has formed in the State of J&K, in accord with past practice, rich tradition and high standard of this constitutional post, as such he resigned. It is worthwhile to mention here during his shortest period of less than four months Sr. Adv DC Raina as an Advocate General appeared in most publicized and public interest cases like of Dal Lake, Shri Amarnath Land case and other various important cases. Regarding the acceptance and non-acceptance of resignation of Advocate General has not confirmed from Law Dept and other sources of the Govt till this evening. Meanwhile AAG Mr. VK Chopra who was appointed during this period has also resigned and regarding the other Additional Advocate General Mr. Azhar-ul-Amin it is expected to resign today. JNF
