Assistant Director CAPD among 42 suspended

Srinagar, September 19: The minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Taj Mohi-ud-Din on Tuesday suspended 42 officials including Assistant Director (Supplies) on charges of black-marketing in the allotment of 10 lakh liters kerosene oil to retailers during the month of September.
Following the widespread complaints of black-marketing in the allotment of kerosene oil against the officials of supplies section, the ministers during a surprises visit of the Directorate of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, ordered the suspension of the officials of supplies section and their immediate replacement.
A meeting of senior officers was, according to minister, convened during which the issue of submitting ration coupons by retailers against which they get the kerosene oil quota was discussed, but it was found during the course of the meeting that there are large scale bunglings in the allotment of Kerosene oil made under ratio coupon scheme.
Those placed under suspension and transferred aregh jeelani Ishwari, Assistant Director (Supplies), Chief inspector Manzoor Ahmed khan, Sectional Officer Gh Nabi Wani, Incharge Inspector Mohd Bashir Khan, Zahoor Ahmed Khan, Gh Qadir Gojri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat, Inspector Bashir Ahmed Jagoo, Roster clerk Shafat Ahmed, Coupon clerk Reyaz Ahmed Mir,Gh Rasool Dar, Neyaz Ahmed, Inmtiyaz Ahmed Shah, Gulzar Ahmed Kandroo,clerk Ali Mohd Malik,Bashir Ahmed Ganaie, Gh Hassan Dar,Ali Mohd chora, Mushtaq Ahmed Qadri,Fayaz Ahmed Khan, Javed Iqbal Khan, Ab Rashid Khan, Mohd Amin Hajam, Sajad Ahmed Bhat, Gh Mohi-ud-Din Joo, Irshad Ahmed Wani, Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Imtiyaz Ahmed Shah, Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, Farooq Ahmed Shah, Sajad Ahmed Qureshi, Ab Gaffar Tantray, Wali Mohd Bhat, Computer Operator Chaman Tasleem, Mohd Rafiq Pandit, Showkat Ahmed Dar,Mohd Sharief Ganaie, Gh Nabi Sheikh and Sheikh Shabir Ahmed.
Meanwhile Minister of State for Health and Medical Education Peer Mohd Hussain during a surprise visit at Kulgam hospital suspended a doctor and three para-medico on charges of remaining absent from duty.
