| Oriental Academy organizes Annual day-cum-prize distribution function | | |

Jammu, Jan 23 –Annual Day-cum - prize distribution function was celebrated by the Oriental Academy School Jammu today. Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Sheikh Bashir Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion while ID Soni, former Deputy Director of Education, Prof. Lalit Mangotra were the guests of honor on the occasion.
The program took off with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest which was followed by a vandana.
The Principal of the school, V. P. Chauhan, while welcoming the chief guest and other dignitaries, highlighted the achievements of the school in the scholastic and the non-scholastic fields.
The Principal felt satisfaction over the fact that since the inception of the school in the mid-sixties the school has been performing wonderfully well in the Board examinations showing 100 percent pass results with the bagging of numberless top positions.
On this occasion, the students of the school presented a colourful cultural program which included patriotic songs, umbrella dance, Fancy Dress, Beat Dance, Guldatsa , Rajasthan Dance and Ballet which were applauded by the jam packed audience.
Those students who had performed excellent in the School Examination were also awarded trophies and certificates of merit.
Sheikh Bashir exhorted the students to create among themselves the highest sense of patriotism so that our country tops every where in the world. He felt satisfied that the school was leaving no stone unturned in bringing about all round development of the children to its care. He advised the students to be disciplined in every department of their activities to do India great.
