| Tragic accident in Jammu: Mother killed, family injured in motorcycle collision | | |

Jammu, July 15: In a devastating incident, a collision between a motorcycle and an oil tanker has resulted in the death of a mother and injuries to her family members. The accident occurred when an oil tanker with registration number JK01AL-9042 was allegedly being driven recklessly from Muthi to Jewel Chowk.
According to reliable sources, the oil tanker collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BA-1680 near Palm Island. The motorcycle rider, identified as Sham Lal, along with his mother, Purav Devi, and their two children, Varun Kumar (10 years old) and Sanvi Devi (5 years old), sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Immediately after the collision, the injured family members were rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for medical treatment. Tragically, despite the medical efforts, Purav Devi succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at GMC.
The authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, and an investigation officer has been appointed to gather further details about the accident.
The loss of life and the injuries suffered by the family have left the community in shock and grief. |
