| Dr. Mohinder Lal’s ‘Dastan-e-Hafat Saiyah’ released | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 23- “Dastan-e- Hafat Saiyah” or “ Story of seven tourists” written by the late Tashna of Uttar Pradesh , in the year 1922 A.D and compiled/edited by Dr. Mahinder Lal Parvana Principal Government College of Education Jammu, was released at graceful function organized by Azad Foundation, India Khazir Mohammad Wani Commissioner/ Secretary Higher and Technical education who was the chief guest on the occasion, congratulated Dr .Parvana for publishing a rare manuscript of early 19th century and providing a very useful dictionary (Farhung) of the words and proverbs used by the author which were common in his life time. In his comprehensive paper Aseer Kihtwari, a renowned historian and writer explaining the theme of publication said that Ghulam Gous Tishna has been a prominent Urdu writer and poet of his time and Dastan-e- Hafat Saiyah is really a good piece of literature. He suggested inclusion of this ancient book in the syllabus of Indian Universities. Earlier, Amin Banjara , President Azad Foundation , India welcomed the guests and presented a critical paper on the life and literary works of Dr. Parvana Banjara termed the instant compilation , a remarkable work and appealed to read and highlight the book at their level. Dr. Parvana extending his gratitude to the guests and audience narrated the difficulties faced by him during the compilation, editing and printing of the book.
