| Training important for efficient services: Sonali | | | Early Times Report
Jammu January 23 – Principal Secretary Agriculture Mrs. Sonali Kumar has said that training is an important component for effective delivery of services. Improvement in training has a direct bearing on the productivity of officers that consequently benefits public, she added. She was addressing officers at the valedictory function here at IMPA. Sonali Kumar asked the officers to make practical use of the training skills they have developed during the training course in the institute. She also presented certificates among the participants.
The 10-day training course, aimed at developing the ability of trainers to design and deliver effective training, was sponsored by the department of Personnel Trainings, Government of India on "Direct Trainer Skills and Design". As many as 22 officers drawn from Agriculture, Horticulture, Education and Animal Husbandry departments participated in the programme. The training course was conducted by National Trainers/ Recognized Users of TDP project namely Dr. Sunita Zalpuri Koul and Dr. B. A. Kumar. Earlier, Director General of IMPA Mr. Pramod Jain in his welcome address described training as an important tool for updation of knowledge, skill enrichment and attitudinal change. He stressed on need based trainings for improving performance and productivity of officers.
